About Chris Soldevilla

Chris Soldevilla has been teaching and performing as an improviser and working actor for over 25 years.  He has coached actors for television shows such as “Lost,” Once Upon a Time” and “V“. He has assisted actors and non-actors alike in getting their bearings and finding their voice. Chris’ goal is to help people not only gain confidence and control but to put the best version of themselves forward, allowing them to work more often.  Establishing comfort and understanding is paramount to his teaching style.

Chris is a certified instructor of LA-based coach Ivana Chubbuck and utilizes her style, along with a culmination of experiences from Stella Adler Academy, Groundlings Improv, and a variety of other studios and personal work in his approach.  He has developed a style that helps actors create a foundation for their work, taking the guess-work out of why they are “on” or “off”.

Actors both well-established and new to the industry have praised Chris’ style and technique as bringing ease and simplicity to the craft in which has helped them to raise their work to higher levels.

Chris can be seen performing regularly with local improv troupe, The Edge, the first Saturday of every month at the Bainbridge Performing Arts, Bainbridge Island, WA.
